Welcome! we cater for surfing, kayaking & windsurfing enthusiasts. Whether this is your first time or you simply want to get a refresher we will make sure that you have a fun session and improve your watersport skills. We operate from BALLINSKELLIGS BAY in Co. Kerry, Ireland - renowned as one of the most beautiful blue flag beaches in the world! We're FAMILY FRIENDLY so come along & enjoy the day with us! 

At Skelligs Watersports we cater for surfing, kayaking & windsurfing enthusiasts. Whether this is your first time engaging in watersports or you simpy want to get a refresher we will make sure that you have a fun session and improve your watersport skills.

Skelligs Watersports was established in 2002. As well as surfing we now provide a variety of water based activities for those that are keen to experience the spectacular scenery of South Kerry. Our Watersports centre is based on the blue flag beach in Ballinskelligs. This beautiful bay offers very tranquil waters in which to learn windsurfing or simpley to relax and enjoy a leisurely paddle in one of our kayaks.

Surfing takes place on Reen Rua Beach between Waterville and Ballinskelligs. This beautiful beach with its sandy bottom is the perfect place for beginners to learn in safety and for those who want to improve their technique. Ballinskelligs bay is a stunning location on the Ring of Kerry with clean water, safe beaches, good waves and plenty of warm sunshine! We look forward to seeing you for some summer fun there

Courses

Kids Summer Camps

Our Kids Summer Camps are all about having fun at the beach. While there will be loads of activities we overall ocean safety and marine education will be a very important part of our camps.

The camps are for 5 days and run from 10 - 12:30 each day, Monday to Friday. The age groups that they cater for are between 6 and 12. If you happen to miss the start of a camp, don't worry, your child can join in proving there is space available.

                              
Depending on the weather, and the waves, the format of the camps will change each week. There will always be 2/3 days surfing as well as other activities such as

• SANDCASTLE COMPS
• BEACH ROUNDERS
• ULTIMATE FRIZBEE

Weeklong course costs are EUR120 with everything included. All your child needs to bring is their togs, towel and some warm clothes for after the fun!

The Watersports Centre is situated on the Blue Flag beach in Ballinskelligs. We are situated next to Cable O'Learys Bar and Restaurant on the beach and are open between 10 and 6 each day. The bay in Ballinskelligs is protected by Horse Island which makes it a perfect place for learning all forms of watersports in complete safety, as well as relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach.        
Ballinskelligs is situated on the Skellig Ring . It takes in Ballinskelligs, Portmagee and Valentia Island with breath taking views of this unique coastline and the world renowned Skelligs Islands. There are plenty of services in the area now with restaurants, small cafes and if you get very thirsty, Cable O Learys for a few pints.
