About the Centre

Waterford Harbour Sailing Club was established as a club in 1934, however sailing activities had been going on in Dunmore for many years prior to this date. The Club was established to provide racing for the boat owners of the day in an organised fashion and to provide an atmosphere of friendly competition which is still our aim to this day. W.H.S.C. is a family orientated Club, providing sailing and social activities for all the family young and old. We run a very successful I.S.A. approved sailing course for children during the months of July and August and regular racing for both Dinghy's and cruisers from May to September.

Like many Clubs at the moment we are experiencing a fall off in our membership. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to all our members to support the Club during the summer. We run many functions which are enjoyable and provide an opportunity to meet new members and make new friends.
