About the Centre

Start sailing: MSC is recognised by the Irish Sailing Association as a sail training centre. In conjunction with County Sligo VEC, we offer sailing courses to juniors and adults. Active dinghy sailing takes place in the sheltered waters of Donegal Bay from April to October.  The following dinghy classes are encouraged; Optimist, Topper, Topaz, 420 and Laser. We are a family friendly club with a strong junior section. Racing takes place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings during the summer months.

Blue Flag Beach

The clubhouse is situated beside a rural sandy beach backed by an extensive dune system with magnificent views of the Keeloges with Eagles Rock and Ben Bulben in the distance. There are beach guards on duty daily from June to September. There are both lifebuoys and torpedo buoys available on the beach.

Hours are  Sat 10.00am to 4.00pm & Sunday 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

Who can join?
Membership is open to anyone interested in sailing, subject to club committee approval. Complete the proposal form and post it to our membership secretary, Isobel Carr, 12 Farmleigh Close, Stillorgan Co. Dublin. It is preferable that you get current members of the club to propose and second you.  There is an entry fee of €250 for a family and €165 for an individual, payable on joining the club along with the current year's fee.  (See below)

Must I have a sailing qualification to join MSC?
No. You don't need any sailing qualifications to join MSC. We have many courses on offer.  More....
