About the Centre

Swords Sailing & Boating Club is situated on Broadmeadow Estuary in a quiet, safe, sailing friendly environment.  We are a very active club for both the young and the young at heart! We have grown from humble beginnings, operating from a cargo container, to become a well established club boasting 4 national champions in different fleets in the one year!

A club to be reckoned with for its hospitality, facilities and friendliness. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon either sailing lazily along or participating in the club races watching out for wind shifts, anticipating each others moves and then racing for the line. It is all there and right at your doorstep, so come along any Sunday afternoon and you will be made very welcome

Courses

Enroll in our introduction to sailing course where you will learn basic boat handling skills with qualified, experienced sailors. The course is run over 4 nights. Part of each evening is spent in class learning the theory and safety aspects of sailing. This is followed by practical experience in either a dinghy or a catamaran where you will get the opportunity to put the theory into practice and take the helm
