Trailriders Bike Rental is based at the  trailhead of the 92km Ballyhoura Bike Trail in Ardpatrick, Co. Limerick. Established in 2007, our core business is bike rental and we offer a professional and friendly service,as seen on RTE NATIONWIDE , NO FRONTIERS, and most recently TRACKS AND TRAILS.

Trailriders Bike Sales: Earlier this year, we expanded our business and opened a bike shop at the Trail head. Here we sell items from the essential equpment to mountain bikes.We are registered for the bike to work scheme.We also  have a FREE TRY BEFORE YOU BUY ,if purchasing new bikes from us. We specialise in  norco.com, cube.eu

Courses

MOUNTAIN BIKE CORE SKILLS

The absolute bible to mountain biking, these are what are applied whether avoiding stones on trails to jumping road gaps

MOUNTAIN BIKE INTERMEDIATE SKILLS

These skills are a bit more committing and applied on ungroomed trails, when there's an increase of speed in such places as the alps or in the big mountains

MOUNTAIN BIKE MECHANICS/ BIKE SET UP/ SHOCK SET UP

These cover setting you and your bike up correctly,such as right stem angle,shock compression, saddle position

MOUNTAIN BIKE DOWNHILL RACING LESSONS

It's what it says on the tin, recognising race lines, applied science and application of core skills in to a race scenario

KIDS TRAINING CAMPS

We get your loved ones biking in a safe environment with the correct skills required to progress safely, after this sky is the limit.

Hire/ Rental

We have three sizes, small (43cm, 16"), medium (48cm, 18") and large (53cm, 21") bikes. The pedals on the hire bikes are interchangeable with either a flat platform pedal or a SPD clip in style to suit your preference.  The mountain bike comes with a bottle cage, pump and a saddle bag full of all the essential tools and spare parts for a day on the trails. A bike helmet is also included in the cost. 

Trails

The Ballyhoura trail network is arguably the best network of trails in Ireland due to ease of trails to the experienced racers that clock up to 80km. All the woods were designed as to encourage the absolute beginner. Coillte have a number of other trails around the country which can be found on the Coillte and Madforsport.com websites
